DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR ADMISSION?
No, Broadway Night Lights is a free event open to the public. However, vendors will be offering goods and food for purchase within the festival.
ARE THERE ANY PROHIBITED ITEMS?
Yes, the following items are prohibited in accordance with LAPD regulations:
- Bags that are not see-through at event entry
- Bags and backpacks larger than 16.75″ x 13″ x 8.5″
- Coolers, chairs, outside alcoholic beverages, glass containers, narcotics
- Bicycles, scooters, drones, tents, firecrackers, explosives, firearms, weapons
- Printed signage larger than 8.5″ x 11″, props, flagpoles
- Aerosol cans, megaphones, boom boxes, amplification devices
ARE THERE ANY PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES?
Yes, as per LAPD regulations, the following activities are prohibited:
- Public intoxication, smoking, vaping
- Rollerblading, skateboarding, unauthorized vending, unleashed animals
- Solicitation, staking objects to the ground, drone operation, amplified noise
- Bicycles and scooters (can be parked outside the event)

STREET CLOSURES
IS ALCOHOL ALLOWED?
Outside alcohol is not permitted. However, we have a Beer Garden where alcohol will be available for purchase. Attendees 21 and over must present valid ID for age verification, and individuals are limited to purchasing and consuming a maximum of three drinks.
IS IT A KID-FRIENDLY EVENT?
Yes, Broadway Night Lights is a family-friendly event brought to you by PLAYLA from LA Parks and Rec! We’ve set up a special area just for children called the PlayLA Kids Zone. This zone is designed with children’s safety and enjoyment in mind, featuring four engaging areas: Soccer, Basketball, Football, and an Obstacle Challenge. Rest assured, we’ve implemented safety measures to ensure a fun and secure experience for all attendees, making Broadway Night Lights a memorable event for the entire family.

WHAT CAN I DO TO PROTECT MY HEALTH AND SAFETY AT THE EVENT?
We encourage attendees to:
- Stay hydrated (hydration stations are available at 2nd and 3rd Streets on Broadway)
- Wear sunscreen and a hat for sun protection
- Stay with friends or family and follow instructions from event staff

At Broadway Night Lights, you can enjoy a wide range of entertainment for the whole family! Experience Lucha Libre shows every hour, let the kids have fun in the Kids Play Zone, and catch live performances across 4 stages and 3 theaters. Take in the sights at the classic car shows, snap memorable moments at our photo booths, and enjoy a ride on the Ferris wheel for a unique view of the city. IF IT RAINS, DOES THAT MEAN THE EVENT IS CANCELLED?
No, Broadway Night Lights will continue rain or shine. However, in the event of lightning, performances will pause until the area is safe to resume.
WHAT SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT PUBLIC SAFETY?
Your safety is our priority. We work closely with law enforcement to ensure a secure environment. If you see something suspicious, notify staff or security personnel. Medical tents will be available, and the Lost Child Tent will be located at the corner of Broadway and 1st Street.
